Water gushes out of major pipeline due to breach near Palladam

Tirupur: A 15-feet-high water jet gushed due to a major breach in the 4th Combined Water Supply Scheme on the Avinashi-Mangalam road

The water treatment plant is located in the Sumaithangi area in Sirumugai. The main pipeline of the 4th Combined Water Supply Scheme runs from this treatment plant to Tiruppur via Annur, Avinashi, and Palladam.

In this situation, there was a breach in the pipeline on the Avinashi-Mangalam road and the water gushed out.

Motorists passing by watched in amazement as the main pipe developed breaches and water gushed out to a height of 15 feet.

Meanwhile, officials of the Water Supply and Drainage Board said that due to the high pressure on the pipe valve, there was a breach in the pipeline.

The work for plugging the breach is underway.
